Qatar Airways analyzes the possibility of starting operations in Ecuador. This, after the Ecuadorian ambassador in Qatar, Pascual del Cioppo, made an initial approach with the main authorities of the Qatari airline in Doha, reported the Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry.
Qatar Airways was founded in 1993 and currently operates more than 150 routes on 5 continents and has been awarded five times as the best airline in the world by Skytrax World Airline Awards.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador’s meeting with the airline’s executives discussed the possibility of opening a commercial route to Ecuador, as well as establishing a connection hub in the country to the countries of the Middle East.
At the meeting, the project was presented to the senior vice president, Fathi Atti, and the company’s commercial director, Thierry Antinori.
Thus, Del Cioppo extended the formal invitation of President Guillermo Lasso for the airline to start operations in Ecuador.
The Foreign Ministry added that this meeting marks the starting point for the exchange of information and analysis of the project, which aims to turn Ecuador into a logistics center that concentrates and distributes flights from the north of South America to the Middle East. (YO)
