One of the growing markets for these dates are those of floral arrangements. Red roses are the ones that maintain the greatest demand.
Valentine’s Day is approaching and many people begin to plan gifts or details for their partners or friends this February 14. Among the main gifts that are usually given these days are chocolates, stuffed animals and flowers.
The latter are the most requested products on the market on Valentine’s Day. To get them, citizens can spend between S/99 to S/600 on flower arrangements, according to Guillermo Rivas, head of marketing for the flower shop and gift shop Magia.pe.
“When falling in love, we do not skimp on prices. The range of spending is quite wide and will depend on the purchasing power of the buyer. You can spend 99 soles on a box of roses, as you could opt for a more exclusive arrangement and a more complex and impressive preparation that can cost 600 soles, on average. As strange as it may seem, this type of purchase of super premium arrangements has increased so far this year,” the executive reported.
In this line, the best-selling flowers are red roses, which usually represent love, and are followed by other colors such as yellow, pink and lilac. Another growing market is that of tulips, a flower that despite being expensive is being more requested by buyers.
“In the 2022 Valentine’s campaign, we managed to overcome the barrier of 6,000 units delivered and, for this 2023, we plan to increase by 35%, supported by the positioning that our brand is experiencing to be able to reach all of Lima and Callao”, Rivas finished.
