Indecopi: More than 100,000 claims were attended at the national level

The National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) reported that during 2022 109,000 claims were received nationwide through the Citizen Attention Services.

In addition, the entity reported that the management of complaints was carried out in 19 business days and that users, using their cell phones, tablets, and PCs, were able to process the submission of documents throughout the year through the Virtual Reporting Table. . In this sense, the platform received 131,420 documents at the national level, while, through the On-site Reporting Table, 34,381 documents were admitted.

Along these lines, during 2022, the indecopi provided guidance to more than 486,000 citizens nationwide on the various procedures, procedures, and services offered by the institution in person, in writing, by telephone, and online.

Finally, the entity pointed out that more than 1,800 providers were registered in the Virtual Hearings Claim platform, through which the claimant, the defendant and Indecopi can interact and participate in virtual hearings from their homes, offices, etc., reducing transportation expenses, as well as the costs for physical notifications.
