The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) approved this Sunday, through the Ministerial Resolution No. 038-2023 published in El Peruano, the Strategy to Reactivate and Promote Craft Activity We are Crafts – 2023.
The purpose of this decision is to finance the granting of subsidies in favor of the beneficiary winners of the public contest carried out within the framework of the aforementioned strategy, which is intended to promote the production, promotion, commercialization and/or commercial articulation of handicrafts.
In accordance with the recitals of the norm, the initiative will serve to establish the conditions for the granting of competitive subsidies in favor of artisanal economic units, made up of natural persons with business and legal entities of the artisanal activity that are beneficiaries of this strategy, as well as such as operational, management, monitoring and follow-up provisions.
The legal provision also entrusts the dissemination, implementation and supervision of compliance with the strategy to the General Directorate of Crafts of the Vice Ministry of Tourism of the Ministry of Mincetur.
