What is the CTS and when does it correspond to me?

Compensation for Service Time (CTS) is the payment received by people who are part of a private labor regime of a minimum of 4 hours of daily work. This benefit helps in cases of unemployment and it was arranged by Ministry of Labor. The deposit is equivalent to a full salary divided into two parts of 50% each during the months of May and November.

The first deposit of the CTS must be carried out at most 15 th of May and it corresponds to those people who have provided their functions from November to April and for at least one month within this period.

He second deposit of the CTS has a deadline until November 15 and corresponds to those who have worked within the months of May to October.

How do I calculate my CTS?

  • Take into account your monthly salary without any discount.
  • Now divide the amount of your bonus into 6 parts and add the result to your salary.
  • Divide the amount you get from these two previous steps by 360.
  • Finally, you multiply it by the days worked in the entire semester (180).

For example, if I earn S/1,500 per month: Taking into account that 1/6 of my salary is S/250. Now, your basic salary is added to 1/6 of it and you get a total (S/1,500 + S/250 = S/1,750). You divide the result by 360 days and you get (S/1,750 / 360 = 4.86). Finally, we multiply by 180 and we have (4.86 * 180 = S/874.8 approximately).

With this easy exercise you will know how much money you will receive from CTS.

What is gratification? When do I receive it?

This labor benefit corresponds to the Law 27735 of the Congress which establishes that every worker additionally receives a full salary during twice a year between the festivities of National Holidays (Before July 15) and by Christmas (until December 15). The amount of the gratuity is different in each company. Likewise, there is another employment benefit that is only provided by public institutions and this is called bonus with an exact amount of S/300 at the end of the year.
