The price of green peas continues to be high in the retail markets of metropolitan Lima for the second consecutive week and reaches S/18 per kilogram in some supply centers.
In the Chacra Colorada market, in the Breña district, The Republic found that this vegetable is sold at S/15 per kg; while, in the Limoncillo market, in Rímac, and in the Caquetá market, in San Martín de Porres, it reached S/18.
However, other products in the basic basket remain stable. This is the case of the yungay potato, which is sold between S/2.80 and S/3.20; the huayro potato, between S/2.50 and S/5; like the yellow potato, whose maximum price is S/6 per kilogram. Carrots, tomatoes and lemons are traded on average at S/3.50.
For its part, in Chiclayo, the yellow potato reached S/4, yungay potato (S/3), onion (S/2.50), carrot (S/3), sweet potato (S/2) and peas at S/10. In Trujillo, the price of vegetables increased, while that of fruits remains the same.
