Cusco: what is the price of food in the markets during the protests?

The price of food in the markets of Cusco is varied. Find out how its amount has changed according to the supply of products in the city.

In the retail market rosaspata, vegetable prices remain stable. For example, a kilo of tomato costs S/4; peas, S/12; pumpkin, S/3; lemon, S/5; onion, S/2; green beans, S/7, and sweet potatoes, S/4.5.

The recommendation of the merchants of this supply center for housewives is not to despair and that the market is open every day. They also suggested that do not make excessive purchases, since that makes the products more expensive, as indicated by the law of supply and demand.

On the other hand, as is known, due to a truce over the weekend, the retail markets of Cusco were able to restock on food. Some dropped in price; others remain on the rise.

In the case of the market Ccascaparo, in the center of the city of Cusco, the prices that are maintained are those of onion with S/1.50; the pumpkin, with S/2.50; broad beans, with S/3; and paprika, with S/6. Instead, the cost of sweet potatoes went from S/2 to S/4.50.

And the vegetables that dropped in price are carrots, from S/3.50 to S/2.50; and tomato from S/8 to S/4. And the ones that went up in price are the peas, from S/6 to S/10; spinach, from S/5 to S/6; basil, from S/4 to S/5; and yellow chili, from S/5 to S/8.

The price of potatoes, in its different variations, did not rise or fall. Prices range from S/3.50 to S/5. The merchants of this supply center recommend to housewives quote prices before making their purchases, since they denounce speculation on the part of those who inform them.
