Pedro Azpiazu: “The level of taxation in the Basque Country is good and encourages business activity”

The Basque Autonomous Community (CAV) is an attractive place for companies and the current tax system encourages business activity, as defended this Wednesday by the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Basque Government, Pedro Azpiazu.

Based on the debate opened by the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, Azpiazu stressed that the Basque Country has many attractions, not just the prosecutor. In the opinion of the Minister of Finance, corporate tax drives business activity and the big difference lies in the wealth tax “which is very marginal, less than 1%.” “Nobody wants to pay taxes, but we all want good public services.
