Produce and SNI inaugurate second edition of ‘Buy peruano, buy from Peru’

The National Society of Industries (SNI) in conjunction with the Ministry of Production (Produce) inaugurated this last Tuesday, November 9, the second edition of the campaign Buy Peruvian, buy Peru, which seeks to promote the consumption of products made in the country in order to boost our economy, reactivate employment and generate more income for Peruvian families.

The event was nuanced by the presence of representatives of companies and manufacturers of national products such as Steel Arequipa, Alicorp, Backus, Café 3.0, Coca Cola, Gloria, Celima-Trebol, Ingenial, R&G, San Lorenzo, Apus, tigre and Topitop.

“With this campaign we seek to help companies face the economic crisis that the COVID-19 pandemic generated and demonstrate that we are able to offer our country quality products at competitive prices, capable of meeting the most demanding market demands. ”, Explained the president of the National Society of Industries, Ricardo Márquez.

Along these lines, the leader explained that both the public and private sectors work hand in hand in search of the benefit of those who most need support, “mainly micro and small companies” in areas such as agriculture and food, electronics, clothing, textiles, packing and advertising, gifts, health and beauty, transportation, among others.

Márquez also detailed that, between January and July 2021, the industry ranked as the second contributor to Peruvian GDP and registered an increase of 6.7% in July of this year, compared to the same month of 2020.

For its part, the holder of Produce, José Incio, said that the private-state alliance will make it possible to see that the business community of Peru can recover after the ravages of the pandemic.

Likewise, the public official reported that to date “around 1,100 companies are registered in this important web portal Compralealperu.pe, and it is projected to reach the goal of 2,000 in a few months.”

It is expected to be achieved with the joint support of micro, small and large entrepreneurs and with the leadership of the SNI.

At the beginning of the second edition of Buy from Peru, the Vice Minister of Industry and Mype of Produce, Liesel Huanca, was also present.
