Osiptel: more than 2.1 million contracts for fixed and mobile services used short contracts

The Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel) reported that the four main operating companies in the market issued more than 2.1 million short contracts for the provision of fixed and mobile services in September alone. 98% of the total contracts made were during that month.

Entel, Bitel and Claro were the operating companies that declared its extended use. Thus, Entel delivered 788,813 short contracts to its subscribers, mobile services (784,453 short contracts) and fixed services (4,360 short contracts).

Likewise, Osiptel reported that the “Bitel company provided 581,377 short contracts in the same period for mobile services, while Claro reached 239,059 short contracts for mobile services (224,371 short contracts) and fixed services (14,688 short contracts). In parallel, Movistar pointed out that in 589,091 contracts a short contract was used, equivalent to 92% of the total of 641,775 contracts signed in all its services ”.
