The President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte appointed Luis Alfonso Adrianzén Ojeda as the new head of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (PETM), replacing the resigning Eduardo García Birimisa.
Before being called to assume the reins of the MTPE, Adrianzén Ojeda had been serving as the general secretary of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM). He is a lawyer by profession and has also held senior management functions, serving as Secretary General in the Ministry of Production (Produce), Justice and Human Rights (MINJUSDDHH) and in the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion.
He has also held the positions of Vice Minister in charge of Labor and Employment and Labor Training, Head of the Technical Advisory Cabinet of the Board of Directors in the Congress of the Republic.
He will replace Eduardo Garcia
Adrianzén Ojeda will replace Eduardo García Birmissa, who presented his irrevocable resignation last Thursday, January 12, in rejection of the repression carried out by the government of Dina Boluarte.
The now ex-Minister of Labor condemned the fact that the administration of Dina Boluarte continues to “repeat the tragedies”, beyond “the dark and malicious motivations that violated the rights of other Peruvians.”
“However, Madam President, the tragedy was soon repeated and many brothers fell, this time in Puno and Cusco. This time I believe that attention to social demands is no longer enough for what the country needs. The tragedies that we have just experienced demonstrate this, ”she detailed in a statement.
