The Minsur company has communicated that, due to the sensitive events that have been occurring in the Puno region, They have suspended their operations, in line with the mourning decreed at the regional level. He expressed his condolences and solidarity with the families of the people killed and affected during the clashes. To date, 41 civilian deaths have been registered nationwide, according to the Ombudsman’s Office.

“We have been reducing our operations and, in line with the mourning decreed at the regional level, our main productive activity, which is the mine, has been temporarily suspended,” he said in a statement.

It should be noted that the Regional Government of Puno declared three days of mourning for the 17 deaths in protests.

The company also specified that the delivery of support and donations to the families affected by the acts of violence has been arranged, which will be channeled through the Church.
