Claro and Entel were the operators whose revenues grew by more than 4% until September 2022

From January to September 2022, the income of the main operating companies of the telecommunications sector registered a growth of 4.3%, compared to the same period of the previous year, reported the Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (OSIPTEL).

The increase was sustained mainly by the expansion of revenues from the Mobile Services (+9.2%), Fixed Internet (+3.1%) and Equipment Sales (+1.7%) business lines, according to the Analysis of the Financial Performance of the Telecommunications Sector, prepared by the Department of Regulatory Policies and Competition (DPRC) of the regulatory body.

Without considering the revenues from the sale of equipment, total revenues increased by 5.1%, thanks to the performance of Mobile Services and Fixed Internet, which together represented 59.1% of revenues as of September 2022.

“In the case of Mobile Services, revenues increased by 9.2%, as a result of the greater number of mobile lines in service, mainly those corresponding to the contract modality (postpaid and control), which went from 16.4 million in September 2021 to 16.6 million in September 2022”, specifies the OSIPTEL report.
