The minister explained that the aforementioned flow of international tourists would generate a foreign exchange income of US$3,337 million (+17% higher than 2022: US$2,855 million), boosting the Peruvian economy, promoting reactivation and generating important direct and indirect jobs.
“In this post-pandemic situation, the Mincetur has been deploying actions and interventions within the framework of the National Strategy for the Reactivation of the Tourism Sector 2022-2025, in order to promote the progressive recovery of the activities of the sector, directing its efforts to strengthen the sightseeing which, according to the studies of the Tourism Satellite Account, represents around 60% of the tourism GDP”, commented Minister Helguero.
