EH Bildu denounces that the name of the winning company appears in the specifications of an ETS public tender

EH Bildu has denounced that the name of the company that later achieved the Euskal Trenbide Sarea public contract (ETS) in the tender documents. For this reason, the coalition will ask the councilor Iñaki Arriola about it.

As explained by the EH Bildu parliamentarian, Josu Estarrona, to Euskadi Irratia, the specifications contain the name of the company that later won the ETS public tender, when it was not yet known which companies were going to present themselves. “At that point in the process it is impossible to know which companies are going to present themselves, when in theory it is an open tender,” he added.

is the second time that the sovereignist coalition denounces irregularities in a tender for the Euskal Trenbide Sarea. In the previous one, the winning company was Sener.

In this case, the Basque Government argued that a previous document was used as a template to write the statement and that is why the error occurred. In the opinion of Josu Estarrona, that argument is not valid now because the winning company is not Sener, but sisteplant.

The Department headed by counselor Iñaki Arriola has one month to respond to EH Bildu’s question.

The Department of Territorial Planning, Housing and Transport have told Euskadi Irratia that they are analyzing the documentation and that at the moment they are not going to make statements.
