The ok FISEa subsidy aimed at promoting LPG access to vulnerable sectors, will maintain its value of S/ 25 until March 31, 2023, reported the Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem).
Through supreme decree No. 017-2022-EM, the Executive resolves to maintain the increase in this subsidy for the purchase of gas cylinders for domestic use, a measure that was originally part of the Impulso Perú plan, presented by the MEF.
“The new extension of the validity period of the transitory economic value of the FISE Vale is based on the increase in the price of the LPG cylinder by 40.61%, to which the decrease in the primary sale price of LPG of -15, was applied. 40%, obtaining a net incremental rate of 22.58%”, the document refers to.
The increase from S/ 20 to S/ 25 ruled last September will be maintained until the first quarter of next year because the Peruvian Government anticipates that inflation will continue to increase during the year 2023, according to estimates made by the Central Reserve Bank of the Peru (BCRP).
The legal provision is endorsed by the acting president Dina Boluarte and the ministers of Development and Social Inclusion, Julio Demartini; Economy and Finance, Alex Contreras; and Energy and Mines, Oscar Vera.
