Proinversión prequalified 4 bidders for EsSalud hospital projects in Piura and Áncash

After an evaluation process, Proinversión reported that four bidders from America and Europe pre-qualified to compete for the concession delivery, under the modality of Public-Private Partnerships (APP) co-financedfrom two EsSalud hospital projects, in the cities of Piura and Chimbote (Ancash).

These are three companies and a consortium, with global operations, that obtained the status of bidders after accrediting technical experience in construction, experience in hospital operation and financial solvency, in accordance with the provisions of the Tender Bases. In this sense, their participation demonstrates the confidence of private companies to develop long-term investments in Peru, said Proinversión.

The projects include the design, financing, construction, equipment, operation and maintenance of two specialized hospitals, in Piura and Chimbote, and the provision of complementary (non-medical) services, which will allow the insured population of the departments of Áncash, Piura to be attended to. and Tumbes, benefiting more than 1.6 million users.

The execution of the EsSalud Hospitals projects in Piura and Chimbote demands a joint investment that exceeds S/1,000 million throughout the concession period (20 years). The good pro is scheduled for the first semester of 2023.

Those shortlisted, both for the Hospital de EsSalud de Piura and for the project in Chimbote, have developed projects in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania and are:

• Acciona Concessions, SL
• IBT Health, LLC.
• OHLA Concessions, SL

The concession term is 20 years, consisting of three years for the development of definitive engineering studies, construction and implementation of the equipment, and 17 years of operation and maintenance.
