Some 348,170 workers working in companies located in districts of North Lima They will have the inspection services of Sunafil, without having to travel to the headquarters. And it is that as of today the Labor Inspection Platform (PIT) Lima Norte came into operation, located in the Plaza Maestro of the shopping center North Square, in Independencia.
In an area that exceeds 1,800 square meters, about 100 people will work, where 80 will be inspectors. Both workers and employers will be able to find the services of labor inspection, orientation, attention to inquiries and receipt of documents.
The PIT Lima Norte will have competition in the companies of the districts of Ancón, Carabayllo, Comas, Independencia, The Olives, Magdalena del Mar, Pueblo Libre, Puente Piedra, Rímac, San Martín de Porres, San Miguel and Santa Rosa.
It is estimated that these 12 districts are concentrated around 39,000 companies, which declared their workers in the electronic form, in the period of July of this year. Their main activities are wholesale and retail trade, services, manufacturing industries and transportation.
“One of the priorities of the Labor sector is to ensure decent jobs and income and better living conditions for Peruvians. Even more so in the phase of economic reactivation in which our country is located ”, indicated the Vice Minister of Employment Promotion and Labor Training, Camilo León Castro, who inaugurated the Lima Norte headquarters.
“Starting last year, a series of platforms were implemented to be closer to citizens,” said the superintendent of Sunafil, Juan Carlos Requejo. The entity’s role is not to apply fines, but to enforce regulations.
It is important to mention that the Lima North PIT is the eighth platform to be implemented nationwide, since since 2020 the Huaraz PITs were inaugurated (Ancash), Virú (La Libertad), Cañete (Lima region), Lima Sur (Metropolitan Lima), Olmos (Lambayeque), Sullana (Piura) and Salas (Ica).
