After knowing the forecast increase of 8.5% in pensions for next year, we review how this increase will affect, case by case.

As has been known this Tuesday, the increase in pensions in 2023 will be 8.5%. Once the advance inflation data for novemberthis allows calculating the revaluation for the coming year and confirms the increase estimated by the Government of Spain in the Budgets.
With this historic increase, the maximum benefit that more than 40,000 pensioners receive in the CAV will exceed 3,000 euros for the first time.
In Hego Euskal Herria, a total of 710,700 pensions have been counted at the end of October. This is how pensioners will receive the increase, in figures, according to the type of pension:
contributory pensions
The average pension of Hego Euskal Herria is around 1,300 euros, in the case of contributory contributions. Therefore, taking into account that those who have this type of pension will receive 115 euros more per month, they will receive a total of more than 1,400 euros on average.
Thus, with the beginning of 2023, and once this increase has been applied, each pensioner will receive an additional 1,610 euros a year.
Retirement pensions
As for retirement pensions, the most numerous, the difference will be even greater, since they will grow by 130 euros per month. Thus, they will go from 1510 euros to 1638 euros.
widow’s pension
On average, widow’s pensions will exceed 1,100 euros; that is to say, about 80 euros more than at present.
