At least 15 people have died and nine were injured in an explosive attack on Tuesday against a military hospital in Kabul, although more details of the incident, where the Taliban security forces have been transferred, are still unknown.

An initial explosion occurred in front of the entrance to Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan Hospital, Kabul’s main military hospital, and just a few meters from the US embassy and the Afghan Ministry of Health.

“The explosion caused casualties,” Interior Ministry spokesman Qari Sayed Khosty told EFE, saying that the Taliban’s special forces are in the area, although at the moment he lacked further details.

The Italian NGO Emergency details on Twitter that, after the explosions, at least nine people were admitted to its hospital in the capital.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this attack.
