In this context, she has also denounced the situation in which women find themselves in Afghanistan after NATO left the country after two decades on the ground to try to build “a free society”.

Robles has urged the Afghan government to respect the rights of women and girls and guarantee their access to education and work, and has stressed NATO’s obligation to support them.
