After 100 days of war, Zelenski affirms that Russia controls 20% of Ukraine


In this time, according to the UN, more than 4,000 civilians have died. In addition, according to data from the Ukrainian president, 5 million people have fled the country and 12 million people are displaced within the territory.

when they are fulfilled 100 days of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky has acknowledged that Russia controls around a fifth of the territory, some 125,000 square kilometers. This was stated yesterday, Thursday, by Zelenski during a videoconference speech before the Luxembourg Parliament.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian president has reported that the battle front extends over a line of more than a thousand kilometers. So far, according to Zelenski, Russian troops have occupied some 3,260 towns, of which more than a thousand would already be under Ukrainian rule again.

As in all wars, the main victims are civilians. The United Nations reported this week that since February 24, at least 4,074 civilians have died and another 4,826 have been injured.

As regards the figures of internally displaced persons and refugeesZelensky has raised to the 12 million Ukrainians who move through Ukrainian territory, while another 5 million have left the country.
