Dramatic confusion in a nursing home in Shanghai, China, where they mistakenly left an old man for dead who turned out to be alive, as the funeral home workers discovered as they prepared to bring the supposed corpse to be cremated and it started to move.
As can be seen in the video that illustrates these lines, the body that they are sending to incinerate moves, to the surprise of the operators. “Look, he’s alive!”, exclaims one of the employees, to which another person replies: “I see.” So, they open the zipper, remove the cloths that cover the man, inspect the old man and verify that, indeed, he is alive.
Curiously, instead of getting him out of the shroud as quickly as possible, one of the asylum’s employees cover it up a bit and even close the zipper again. Finally, after some deliberation, the funeral home workers decide to take the man back to the residence. From there he went transferred to the hospitalwhere the toilets have managed to stabilize him from his COVID-19 infection.
For their part, the Shanghai authorities have opened a research and the senior center has publicly apologized for this neglect. All of this after the video of the moment recorded by neighbors went viral on social networks.
