The visit by Pelosi, the highest-ranking US leader to visit Ukraine since the beginning of the war, was aimed at expressing her country’s support for the Ukrainian government.
The Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosihas met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, during an unannounced visit to Kyiv made to “show support for the Ukrainian government”.
Today, the Ukrainian Presidency released the images of the meeting on its Twitter account first thing in the morning, in which you could see the welcome of the Ukrainian president, Volodimir Zelensky, to Pelosi and his companions, a congressional delegation which included representatives Jason Crow, Jim McGovern, Adam Schiff, Gregory Meeks, C Barbara Lee and Bill Keating.

“You are welcome,” Zelensky told the Americans, thanking them for their help in “protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state.”
Pelosi has thanked him for “his fight for freedom.” “Our commitment is to be with you until the end of the fight,” he added.
Pelosi’s visit had not been announced, although it was expected. In a statement from Pelosi’s office, which does not specify the date of the visit either, it indicates that the delegation continue trip through southeastern Poland and Warsaw.
