Last week, another EU entered into force, including a ban on all Russian and Belarusian road hauliers from transporting goods by road within the EU, including in transit. The exceptions are pharmaceutical, medical, agricultural and food products, including wheat, and road transport for humanitarian purposes.
On Friday, it announced that it would respond in a similar way to the European Union and from Saturday banning trucks and tractors registered in the European Union from entering its territory. The ban came into force on Friday night from Saturday.

Belarusian restrictions also have exceptions. The prohibition does not apply to tractors driving through designated border crossings in order to carry out goods transport operations or to vaccinate a semi-trailer, as well as vehicles carrying postal items and live animals.
Registered vehicles that entered the territory of Belarus before April 16 are exempt from the ban until April 23.
