The British Parliament approves to investigate Boris Johnson for the parties in Downing Street

The investigation has been authorized without a vote, after the presidency of the House asked loudly if anyone was opposed to its taking place and no one had shown their rejection.

The British (lower) House of Commons has approved this Thursday to open an investigation into whether the Prime Minister, Boris Johnsonlied to Parliament when he assured that he was not aware that the parties held in their offices would have violated the law.

The investigation, which will run at the hands of the Privileges Commission of the chamber, has been authorized without a vote, after the presidency of the Commons asked loudly if anyone was opposed to its taking place and no one had shown their rejection.

The Government has rectified today at the last moment its intention to delay this investigation, having verified, according to the British media, that many Conservative deputies did not support this measure.

The opposition leader Labor Party tabled the motion on Tuesday. Conservative MPs had been asked to back the British government’s attempt to delay the vote until police investigations are completed and Sue Graythe official who has another independent investigation on her hands.

However, in a last minute change, it has been transferred to the Conservative MPs who could vote as they wished on the Labor motion.

As highlighted by the Sky News chain, there is some speculation in Westminster that the ‘Tory’ deputies are not prepared to wait any longer for an investigation into the conduct of the prime minister, currently official visit in India. The commission’s investigation, however, will not begin until Scotland Yard’s is over.

The Privileges Commission is made up of seven deputies reflecting the composition of the House of Commons. It is currently made up of four Conservatives, two Labor and one from the Scottish National Party (SNP).

It is led by a member of the opposition, which in this case is Chris Bryant. When the investigation is over, you must prepare a report and then forward it to the Commons. Its conclusions and recommendations would have to be voted on again in the chamber.
