Despite the fact that Joe Trupia has no personal connection with what is happening in Ukraine, the businessman and artist decided to help that country and nothing better than doing it with what he likes.
The artist made Lego-type figures of the president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelensky, with which he raised $145,000 to help that country with medicine. This was reported by the Washington Post website.
In the interview for the American media, the artist revealed that every photo and video he saw of what was happening in Ukraine marked him, so he decided to think of something to help.
I was more sure that I had to do something, anything, to help Ukraine

Lego figure of the president of Ukraine
Trupia owns the Citizen Brick toy-making company, so he started making miniature figurines in the likeness of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to raise money for the country.
Trupia explained that Citizen Brick is a company that specializes in printing unique designs on Legos. For his fundraiser in Ukraine, Trupia said he chose two symbols that personified the country’s hope, resistance and “courage in the face of tyranny”: Zelensky and a Molotov cocktail.
“He is a guy who could have fled the country with a suitcase full of money and instead stays with his people,” Trupia said. “He was so impressed by his steadfastness and the hope that he seems to give people,” he added.
Children support the initiative
Trupia confessed to the Washington Post that she has received a lot of support from the children. “Some kids have written saying, ‘I really like Lego and had to leave my collection behind.’ I know I can’t get one right now, but do you think you can hold off a President Zelensky figure for me until after we win the war?’” she revealed.
