An Italian tourist died this Friday due to a shark attack in the Colombian archipelago of San Andrés, in the Caribbean Sea, according to authorities and local media.
The 56-year-old man, identified by the press as Antonio Roseto Degli Abruzzi, was swimming near a cliff when he was bitten by the animal.
A Navy source confirmed to AFP the death of the Italian.

“Yes, he died, I understand that he arrived at the hospital without signs,” said a senior official under reserve.
The Teleislas channel pointed out that the unusual attack took place in an area known as ‘La Piscinita’, in the southwest of San Andrés, on the border with Nicaragua.
Meanwhile, the information portal El Isleño published photos of the victim with his right leg shattered.
