The president of China, Xi Jinping, acknowledged this Friday before his American counterpart, Joe Biden, that the conflict in Ukraine it does not benefit any of the parties and has launched a call for peace and security throughout the world, according to official Chinese government sources.
“The situation in Ukraine”, President Xi has transferred, “shows once again that countries cannot get involved in armed confrontations that do not benefit anyone’s interests, and that the international community should embrace peace and security”, reports the Chinese international official newspaper, Global Times.
Likewise, the Chinese president has declared to Biden that both countries, as permanent members of the Security Council and the two largest economies in the world “should not only develop their bilateral relations on the right path, but also share international responsibility at the time to maintain peace in the world”.
