The leaders of Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia travel to kyiv to meet with Zelensky

The three heads of government are already in Ukraine, while the attacks by the Russian Army continue. This is a meeting that was agreed by the European Union at the summit held last Friday in Versailles.

The Prime Ministers of Poland, Mateusz Morawieckifrom the Czech Republic, Pietr Fialaand from Slovenia, Janez Janssaare already in Ukraine, on a mission agreed by the European Union (EU) and after also informing NATO, according to Polish sources.

The three leaders, who left this morning by train, are already on Ukrainian territoryas reported by the Polish government spokesman, Piotr Müller.

In the Ukrainian capital they plan to meet with the country’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyand with his prime minister, Denys Shmyhal.

The visit comes as Russian bombing of the capital continues and, according to Müller, was agreed at the last informal EU summit, held last week in Versailles.

Likewise, the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenbergand also representatives of the U.S. governmentaccording to the Polish government spokesman.

The objective is “to confirm the unequivocal support of the entire EU for Ukraine’s sovereignty and independence and to present a comprehensive aid package,” according to Müller, for whom the delegation “de facto represents the EU.”

According to the spokesman, the visit has been organized with the consent of the President of the European Council, Charles Michaeland the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
