Three men who had been arrested for breaking into a Biarritz villa belonging to the former son-in-law of Russian President Vladimir Putin, and where they unfurled the ukrainian flagreported the Bayonne prosecutor’s office (southwest), were released this Monday.
The three, detained in the framework of an investigation for “violation of residence” were released at the end of the day. They were called to order by a prosecutor’s delegateat the Biarritz Town Hall, a procedure under the control of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Previously, the prosecution had announced that there were two detainees in the case.
The infringement took place in the Alta Mira villa, whose owner is Kirill Shamalov, according to a source close to the case.

In a video posted by the activist on YouTube, two men walk through the mansion built in the 18th century on the edge of a cliff and which has an impressive view of the Atlantic Ocean.
“This house was bought with money stolen by Putin, by his mafia, from the Russian people and the peoples oppressed by Putin’s Russia”, he says in a comment.
In another video, also posted on YouTube, the other man waves a Ukrainian flag on one of the two terraces of the villa. In the images, you can read as subtitles: “Victory in Biarritz. Takeover of Putin’s palace” or “the people’s house is ready to welcome refugees from the Putin regime”.
At the end of February, the exterior of a property in Anglet, near Biarritz, belonging to a non-commercial real estate company in the name of the ex-wife of the Russian president, Lyudmila, was degraded and of her current husband, the Russian businessman Arthur Ocheretny.
On the doors and on the perimeter wall of the Villa Suzanna, an Art Deco mansion, graffiti appeared with the message: “fuck putin”. (I)
