Ukraine denounces an attack on a military installation 20 kilometers from the border with Poland

The Ukrainian authorities have reported that nine people have died and 57 have been injured. It is the first attack to occur in Lviv, in western Ukraine.

The Ukrainian authorities have denounced a russian attack against some military installations located in the region of Lvivin the west of the country, alone 20 kilometers away from the border with Poland.

The attack has occurred against the base of the so-called International Center for Peace and Security Operations, known in its day as the Yavoriv military training center for the Ukrainian Army.

Although initially it was reported that there were no casualties, it has subsequently been realized that 9 deceased people: “Unfortunately, 57 people were injured and hospitalized, 9 heroes died,” Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the state administration in the Ukrainian city of Lviv, a city close to the attack, reported on his Telegram account.

The city of Lviv -where some Western countries moved their embassies in the days before the Russian invasion on February 24- has not been reached, although they have sounded air alarms between messages to the population to seek refuge.

In any case, today’s attack is the first to take place in this region since the beginning of the war, which until now has been mainly limited to the east of the country with a few specific exceptions.
