Is it worth converting the zloty to the euro? “A mere announcement would help our currency”

For one at the end of Friday’s session you had to pay as much as PLN 4.78, which means that since the beginning of the war in Ukraine our currency has weakened by over PLN 0.20. Let us remind you that at the beginning of the week we had to pay as much as one euro for one euro, which is the highest price in the history of trading. In this situation, should we quickly return in Poland to the discussion on the adoption of the common European currency? The former president, prof. Marek Belka. In his opinion, the declaration itself would help to stabilize our currency on the financial markets today. – I think that the announcement itself, which would obviously constitute a dramatic change in politics, in politics in general, in our government, in the Polish government, would have a bearing on the perception of the zloty. Poland should adopt the euro? Glapiński is against

The current NBP president, Adam Glapiński, is of a completely different opinion. – It is obviously beneficial to have your own currency – the zloty. In the media, politicians who probably do not have economic or other education, or who have not dealt with the problem, sometimes pop up with the supposition that the euro would be better to have, because it would be stable. It is not so – said Glapiński on Wednesday. According to him, it is enough to spend two hours studying the data and observe what has happened in the last twenty years. – Gold, own currency is extremely beneficial, and thank God that we can have it. That we are a big enough economy that we can keep the zloty. Thanks to it, we are developing twice as fast as richer European countries – he added.
