In a statement that appeared on the Reddit website, the cybersecurity company Huntress Labs indicated that “More than 1,000 businesses” they had been affected by the attack.
US media indicated that a supermarket chain in Sweden announced to its customers that its stores were temporarily closed after one of its technology suppliers suffered an attack that affected the operation of its cash registers. A railroad and a chain of pharmacies in that country were also affected, according to press reports.
