In the midst of the authentic barbarism that Ukraine is experiencing due to the bloody war started by Russia, good news arrives between constant attacks: Marianna, one of the young women injured in the bombing of the Mariupol maternity hospital, has finally given birth, on Thursday night, to a girl. Although both, the mother and the daughter, are well after childbirth, the situation they are experiencing right now in the area is not good at all.
This has been communicated on social networks by the journalist Olga Tokariuk, who has released this information after receiving a message from a relative of Marianna. “Last night at 10pm, Marianna gave birth to a baby girl! They are fine, but it is very cold in Mariupol and the bombing does not stop,” said Tokariuk through a message posted on his personal Twitter account, in which he attached a photo of Marianna after yesterday’s attack on the premises.
Shortly after, the Government of Ukraine itself confirmed it through Telegram. “Life goes on! A pregnant resident of Mariupol, Marianna, who survived an airstrike on the maternity hospital by the Russian Army, has given birth to a girl. Now, her mother and her newborn baby are safe. Meanwhile, Mariupol continues to defend itself under the bombardment of the invaders.”
An attack that once again led Russia to activate its propaganda machinery to lie about this terrible aggression. After a very heavy bombardment, the Russian authorities they denied in principle that it was a maternity hospital because, they argued, it was full of soldiers. Later, they assured that the place had not been operational for a long time. But the most serious lie was given as a result of the victims.
Institutions such as the Russian embassy in London even claimed that the women who had been injured in this offensive, and who left the building covered in blood and debris from the destruction, were actually actresses hired to play the role of wounded in the war. “They play the role of pregnant women in the photos”; photos that were made “by a famous propagandist photographer instead of rescuers and witnesses, as might be expected,” they said.
Thus, although they said that this woman is a Ukrainian model who is not pregnant, shortly after they deleted the message when it was discovered in a very simple way that she was not an actress, but a really pregnant Ukrainian woman, as was verified by seeing both her account of Instagram like that of your partner. In both profiles there are several photos in which Marianna and her partner show the young woman’s pregnancy.
