The Vatican reiterates its readiness to “do everything” for peace in Ukraine

The Holy See today reaffirmed Russia his willingness to “do everything” and “put himself at the service” of peace in Ukraineinvaded since February 24 by Moscow military troops, confirmed the director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni.

Bruni explained in a statement that the commitment was transmitted by the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, to the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, during a telephone call.
