The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyhas reaffirmed this Saturday that it continues in the capital, Kiev, after a night of explosions and clashes in the city.

Several explosions have shaken the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, in the early hours of this Saturday, and clashes are taking place in the Beresteiska area, just a few nine kilometers from the well-known Maidán squareand at a thermal power plant in Troieschyna, on the other side of the city.
The head of Zelenski’s office, Mijailo Podoliak, has assured that Kiev is currently controlled “one hundred percent” by the Ukrainian security forces.
US offers Zelensky evacuation
The United States has assured this Saturday that it is prepared to help the president of Ukraine to leave Kiev to avoid being captured or killed by advancing Russian forces, government sources have explained to ‘The Washington Post’.
However, the Ukrainian president has rejected the offer, despite the fact that he himself has explained that “the enemy” has designated him as “target number one” and that the Russian army has intensified its attacks on the outskirts of Kiev at dawn this Saturday.
