Zelensky signs the decree to mobilize citizens to serve in the Army

The Ukrainian president has announced the general mobilization of all people of serving age in the Army for the war that Russia began on Thursday against the country.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyhas signed the decree on the general mobilization of all persons of serving age in the army for the war that Russia began on Thursday against the country.

“Decree: to announce and carry out a general mobilization”, is stated in the text published on the page of the Office of the President of Ukraine, a text that had previously been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada or Parliament.

The decree provides for the mobilization to be carried out within a maximum period of 90 days in 25 territories of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian president imposed on Thursday the martial law in all the country.

All this to be able to face the massive military attack that Russia launched against Ukraine from all possible flanks: the north, the east and the south.

So far at least 57 Ukrainian people have been killed and 169 others injured during the first day of the Russian invasion, according to Ukraine’s Ministry of Health.
