Ukraine denounces a new “massive” cyberattack against several official institutions and banks

Among the affected portals, according to the Minister of Digital Transformation, are the website of the Ukrainian Parliament and several pages of the Government, including those of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The minister has not pointed out guilty.

The Government of Ukraine has denounced this Wednesday that the websites of several official institutions and financial entities are not operational due to another alleged cyberattack, in the midst of escalating political tensions with Russia.

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Mikhail Fedorovhas denounced on Telegram that around 4:00 p.m. (local time), Ukraine has been the victim of another “massive” computer attack.

Again, the tactic used by the ‘hackers’ would have been a DDos attack, consisting of saturating networks.

Among the portals affected, according to Fedorov, are the website of the ukrainian parliament and several pages of government, including those of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These pages were not working partially or totally this Wednesday afternoon.

The minister has not pointed out culprits, although on previous occasions Ukraine has looked towards Russia, which it has accused of unleashing a hybrid warfare that would also be waged in the field of information technology.
