According to the news agency EFEHigh diplomatic sources confirmed that Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso will travel to Spain at the beginning of November for a two-day official visit in which he is scheduled to meet with King Felipe VI and with the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.
“It is an important visit, he has always had it (planned) and there is a large bilateral agenda to work on,” the sources told Efe, stating that the work agenda in Madrid is still closing.
According to the travel plan, the Ecuadorian president would leave Ecuador on the 28th, he would spend the 29th and 30th in Madrid on a private schedule, to move to Glasgow, in the United Kingdom, on the 31st, on the occasion of the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP26).
On the 3rd he would return to Madrid from Scotland to maintain a work schedule with Spanish authorities the next day, including King Felipe in the morning and with the President of the Government, Sánchez, in the afternoon.
Although it is yet to be defined, the agenda also includes a series of meetings with other government authorities, businessmen and academics.
