Macri, former president of Argentina, will become a professor of a leadership course

The former president will give classes on “How to lead change: 8 lessons from business, sports and politics,” according to the educational institution.

The former president of Argentina Mauricio Macri (2015-2019) will be, along with other former senior officials from El Salvador, Chile and the United States, professor of a leadership course that will be will teach starting this Monday at the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom from Florida International University (FIU).

Other professors in the one-semester program are Raul Melara, Attorney General of El Salvador from 2019 to 2021; Nicholas Monckeberg, former Minister of Labor of Chile and former ambassador to Argentina, and Loretta Sanchez, Member of the United States Congress from 1997 to 2017, FIU announced Monday.

Macri, who was also twice mayor of the City of Buenos Aires, national deputy and president of the Boca Juniors soccer club, will give classes on “How to lead change: 8 lessons from business, sports and politics”the university announced.

The first public event with the Senior Leadership Fellows, the alumni of this FIU program, will be online this Monday and will consist of a conversation about your views on the intersection of democracy, leadership and the free market directed by Carlos Díaz-Rosillo, founding director of the Adam Smith Center.

“The Senior Leadership Scholarship is our Center’s exclusive mentorship program. Our goal is to offer students meaningful mentorship opportunities from leaders who have served at the highest levels of government and promoted, during their time in office, creative and innovative public policies that strengthened the free enterprise system and enhanced individual liberty. and human prosperity,” Díaz-Rosillo said.
