The Socialists win in Portugal, according to exit polls

The Socialist Party led by the current prime minister, António Costa, would win the legislative elections held today in Portugal with between 37.5 and 42.5% of the vote, according to provisional polls at the close of the polls.

The leader of the opposition, Rui Rio, of the Social Democratic Party (PSD, centre-right), would move in a range of between 26 and 31%, according to these surveys, which place abstention between 45 and 49%, for below the previous legislation.
