Donald Trump opens the door to his candidacy for the 2024 elections and assures that he will pardon the assailants of the Capitol

Former United States President Donald Trump has returned to appear before his supporters to even promise amnesties to the participants in the assault on the Capitol in January of last year in the hypothetical case that he decides to show up and win the 2024 elections.

Last year’s insurrection was staged by hundreds of Trump supporters to try to invalidate the certification of the results of the presidential elections of November 2020, in which the tycoon ended up defeated by the current president of the United States, Joe Biden.

So far they have been arrested more than 725 people in connection with the attack, of which 165 have pleaded guilty and at least 70 have been convicted or are in the process of being convicted.

This past night, during a meeting in Texs, Trump assured his supporters that will treat the accused “fairly” if he finally presents himself and ends up re-elected, according to statements collected by CNN.

If I run, and if I win, I will treat the people of January 6th fairly. And if amnesties are needed, I will grant them. They have been treated with a lot of injustice,” said Trump, who at no time directly announced his intention to appear in the elections.
