Former US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday his plans to launch his own social network called “TRUTH Social,” which is expected to launch in beta for “guests” next month.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” Trump said in the newsletter, banned from Twitter and Facebook after the attack on the Capitol carried out by his followers on January 6.

The highly anticipated platform will be owned by Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which also plans to launch a video-on-demand service that will show “no-woke” entertainment programs, the group said in a statement.

The term ‘woke’ refers to being aware of social inequality, both in relation to race, gender and sexual orientation.

The Trump Media & Technology group will merge with Digital Acquisition Corp to make TMTG a publicly traded company, according to a bulletin.

But Trump, also banned from Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat, canceled the blog a month later.
