The Dallas Morning News reported that police were negotiating with a kidnapper.
Law enforcement agencies in a small Texas town were negotiating Saturday with a man who appeared to have taken several people hostage at a synagogue, police and local media reported.
The police department in Colleyville, about 25 miles west of Dallas, reported in a tweet at 11:30 a.m. local time (4:30 p.m. GMT) that they were conducting a “SWAT operation” at the Beth Israel congregation.
Two hours later, authorities said the situation was “still going.”
We are currently conducting SWAT operations around the 6100 block of Pleasant Run Rd. All residents in the immediate area are being evacuated. Please avoid the area.

“We ask you to avoid the area. We will continue to give updates through social networks, “they added.
The Dallas Morning News reported that police were negotiating with a kidnapper and it was unclear how many people were inside the building, citing Colleyville police Sgt. Dara Nelson.
The source added that there were no injuries or injuries at the synagogue.
A live feed from the congregation’s Facebook page during the Sabbath morning service appeared to capture the voice of a person speaking very loudly on audio, however it did not show the scene inside the religious center.
In it, a man could be heard saying, “Put my sister on the phone” and “I’m going to die.” He can also be heard saying, “There is something wrong with the United States.”
The police department and city government have not responded to requests for more information from the police. AFP. (I)
