American Airlines flight passenger from Honduras caused damage to the pilots’ cabin

Flight crews managed to reduce it before it caused further damage to the Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

An American Airlines plane that was going to take off from San Pedro de Sula (Honduras) to Miami had to stay on the ground on Tuesday because a passenger got into the cockpit and caused damage to the flight instruments, according to confirmed the airline.

The protagonist of the incident, identified by Miami media as Ramón Villeda Morales, was detained by the Honduran police after flight personnel managed to reduce him before he caused more damage to the Boeing 737-800 plane.

The incident occurred during the boarding of flight 488 bound for Miami at the San Pedro de Sula International Airport.

The airline had to send another plane to take over that flight, which as a result of what happened, left late.

American Airlines congratulated the crew members for their handling of “a difficult situation.” (I)
