The Reconstruction Fund (Next Generation EU) is a response to the new economic and social situation caused by the pandemic. The largest part of the Reconstruction Fund is the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). All member states must prepare theirs to receive the money. The vast majority of national plans have already been accepted, which made it possible to pay advances. Poland presented its plan to the European Commission, but so far it has not been approved.
National Reconstruction Plan. Poland has still not received billions of euros in aid
The delay in adopting the National Reconstruction Plan by them should have a direct negative impact on the Polish economy – said PAP at the end of December Grzegorz Puda, Minister of Funds and Regional Policy. He added that the main challenge for 2022 is the mobilization of EU funds.
From the cohesion policy budget for 2021-2027, Poland has around 76 billion euros at its disposal. From the KPO, which is to support the economy after the pandemic, Poland is applying for EUR 23.9 billion available under grants and EUR 11.5 billion from the loan part.
