Netflix documentary alerts Mexican authorities to re-investigate a kidnapping case

The series reveals torture, contradictory testimony and the alibi of the accused, who insist that they never committed the crime.

A Netflix documentary series on Thursday caught the attention of the Government of Mexico, which stares at the sentence for the kidnapping of four people in the southeastern state of Tabasco, where President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is from.

For the production of the documentary It took five years in which Hernández was able to interview up to 450 prisoners in Tabasco and that is how he found the story of these four people, as he related in different interviews in the Mexican press.
