British emergency services have cordoned off an area surrounding the Big Ben in London after A man with a Palestinian flag managed to climb a part of the Elizabeth Tower that houses the famous clock, which is in the Westminster Palace, headquarters of the United Kingdom Parliament, Efe reported.
At least nine emergency services vehicles surrounded the tower while numerous people, including many tourists, watched behind the police cord. The images posted on social networks show A man with the flag, barefoot and wearing a cap.
This morning, “The agents were alerted to a man who climbed the Elizabeth Tower in Parliament“said a spokesman for the London Metropolitan Police (MET).
“The agents are in the place working to bring the incident to a safe conclusionto. They are being assisted by the London Fire Department and the London ambulance service, “he added.
