The French government rules out more drastic measures such as the curfew for the moment and maintains the return to school on January 3.
The French Government has announced this Monday New measures to stop the fifth wave of covid, among which the imposition of teleworking at least three days a week as well as advancing the booster dose from five to three months after the first two injections.
This text excludes drastic measures, because at the moment the return to school will be maintained on January 3, 2022 and a curfew is ruled out, although it does provide for the restriction of public concentrations.
The Prime Minister, Jean Castex, has made these announcements in a public appearance together with the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, in which they have underlined the increase in the rate of vaccination (currently 78% of the total population -including children- has the minus one dose). In this sense, he has confirmed that the current health pass will become one of vaccination.
With this change, the unvaccinated, who until now could present a negative test, must demonstrate as of January 15, 2022 an inoculation to go to cinemas, theaters, museums, transport, cafes and sports facilities.
The ruler has also warned that fines will be toughened against him use of false health passes, which are calculated in hundreds of thousands.
Starting in January, there will be a ceiling of 2000 people for closed premises and 5000 for those outside.
Consumption in bars, restaurants and movie theaters will also be regulated. In the former, it can only be done sitting, and in the latter, it is not possible to eat or drink so as not to remove the mask, a measure that will also affect transport.
